Concept Engineering

Studies depending on the Customer’s specific needs

Pre-feasibility (Class 50), Feasibility (Class 20) & Pre-engineering (Class 10)

We offer pre-feasibility studies for analyzing and interpreting the financial gain of the development initiative, with the aim of facilitating support in the decision-making process.

With feasibility studies, we conceptualize the required developments, which includes identifying the suitable technology for debottlenecking needs, taking into consideration social and environmental concerns, as well as monetary and time constraints.

In the pre-engineering phase of the project, SAPP provides the concept engineering, technical documentation for procurement (request for quotation), evaluation of tender offers, which is used for creating the plant layout, the equipment list, and flow diagrams. The study implies a thorough analysis of financial aspects (operational cost evaluation and profitability calculation, ECOTECHO®), potential risks, benefits, and alignment with organizational goals.

Our expertise in process engineering, mechanical engineering, E/I/A engineering, civil engineering provides the necessary documents required for the budget allocation, management’s and government authorities’ approval.

Our mass and energy balances serve as the basis for determining debottlenecking needs for future demands. We offer mill modelling with static and dynamic simulation, using well-proven engineering software like IPSEpro, WinGEMS and CADSIM Plus.

we apply deep process know-how and a holistic approach to develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant concepts. Our deliverables – such as PFDs, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and load case evaluations – ensure technical feasibility and support informed decisions for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Instrumentation, automation, and electrification collectively refer to the integration of advanced control systems, electronic devices, and electrical infrastructure within industrial processes. At SAPP, we provide IAE engineering concept for new equipment as well as for re-build and modernization requirements.

We collaborate closely with the mill to design and implement tailored heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems optimized for the specific conditions and requirements of the process industry environment, ensuring precise temperature control, humidity management, and air quality.

Balance of plant services include concept design to provide a material take-off list, bill of quantities and investment cost. Balance of plant engineering includes support systems and infrastructure necessary for the efficient and reliable operation of a plant including piping, pumps, pipe bridges, tanks, etc., which are not provided by a main equipment supplier.

Our partner OKZT is highly proficient in handling civil and static engineering construction and provides planning, designing and site supervision of large-scale industry projects.

ECOTECHO® connects technical key figures with financial models. The model set-up ensures a high calculating capacity in a multi-scenario environment and offers the following benefits for your business:

  • Tailor-made calculation base
  • Identification of main cost drivers to identify optimal fit for technology
  • Identification of effect of process changes on mill operational cost
  • Detailed estimation of CAPEX requirements for effective project planning
