Simulation

Testing a plenty of scenarios virtually

Simulation

By building highly accurate simulations, our team can test a wide range of scenarios, identify and avoid problems and maximize potential improvements in a virtual environment.

A “trial and error” methodology is not an option.

Static Simulation

Any significant upgrade or expansion of an industrial plant can potentially affect thousands of variables across many processes. A “trial and error” methodology is not an option. By building highly accurate simulations, our team can test a wide range of scenarios, identify and avoid problems and maximize potential improvements in a virtual environment.

Dynamic Simulation

A static simulation is used to develop a strategy for debottlenecking and optimizing the entire plant. With the assistance of WinGEMS simulation software (developed by Valmet) and IPSEpro, our team generates mathematical evaluations of a range of different scenarios to define changes in the chemical processes.

Dynamic Data Reconciliation (DDR)

DDR is a technology to learn the current state of the process, reduce inaccurate measurements, and initialize simulation models. Such models are further used as an objective function of process optimization, which suggests actions to be taken in the future.

DDR enables us to enforce mass and energy balance as a best fit through many process measurements, track the process in real time and calculate the variables which are not measured in the mill. DDR helps with reporting and monitoring KPIs, identifying poor measurements and turning noisy and erroneous process data into actionable knowledge.

Operator

Training Simulator (OTS)

In collaboration with our partners, we offer OTS solutions for pulp and paper and other industries. Our process experts specialize in operations, project and OTS execution, and facilitate OTS deliveries for the following process areas:

  • Recovery Boiler and Recovery Line
  • Turbine
  • Pulp Dryer
  • Fiber Line

  • Power Boilers (BFB & CFB)

OTS systems also act as a platform to test and verify new DCS control strategies and safety logics like Boiler BMS and SRS, due to the dynamic response of the process variables from the simulation software. This enables to implement a new set of changes faster in the real plant.

Operators can be trained for different operations such as start-up, shutdown, emergency response, new equipment operations, troubleshooting disturbances and malfunctions.
